The Network Infrastructure Team is responsible for defining the network hardware standards and configuration templates for routing, switching, wireless, voice and firewall technologies across the enterprise. Other systems and technologies supported by this team include IP address management, DNS/DHCP, network segmentation, and web site domain services. This team is also responsible for cost and relationship management across the different service providers. As a member of the Network Infrastructure Team, you have a direct impact on the design and improvements required to keep the infrastructure healthy. In this role, the Network Engineer will contribute to the design and development of the configuration standards for the network infrastructure initiatives with a focus on wireless technologies. We are seeking a motivated individual with experience in Cisco Wireless Controllers and Access Points that is eager to learn and grow within our team. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for the design and day-to-day operation of the wireless infrastructure. This position may be filled as a Network Engineer or Senior Network Engineer depending on the experience.

  • Manage day-to-day operation of the Cisco wireless infrastructure.
  • Configure and maintain Cisco access points, wireless LAN controllers, and backend authentication systems (e.g., ISE, RADIUS).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex wireless networking issues with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
  • Develop and maintain network wireless standards, templates, and operational processes.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco Switches and general routing.
  • Support network life cycle planning, integration, and ongoing problem management.
  • Apply technical expertise in wireless network systems to design and expand infrastructure to meet business needs.
  • Plan and design scalable, high-availability wireless network solutions aligned with enterprise requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with other groups outside your immediate organization.
  • Collaborate with vendors on implementation and deployment.
  • Plan future strategies and initiatives to keep the network operating at a high performance.
  • Ability to travel to different facilities, unassisted, as required.
  • Use company resources (financial, human, or capital) responsibly.
  • Bachelor’s degree or proven experience in a network engineering role.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Cisco Wireless Controllers.
  • Experience with Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco Prime and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
  • Strong knowledge of wireless design best practices, especially in warehouse and manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with the Ekahau site survey tools is a plus.
  • Understanding of infrastructure implementations through all phases.
  • Proven experience deploying Enterprise Wireless Networking tools and processes.
  • Cisco Wireless certifications highly desired.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
