About The Position

As a network engineer at Delta, you will assist with planning, designing, and delivering network solutions centered around Cisco's Data Centre technologies. Your role will involve integrating these solutions into Delta's overall data center architecture and design. You will work closely with senior network engineers and architects to design, test, implement, and support network infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include project planning, building network infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements, documenting current and future requirements, and assisting with solution development and project implementation timelines. You will also develop vendor relationships to deliver network products and services, ensure network performance and reliability, and collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team to define network architecture standards and practices. Telecommuting is permitted up to two days per week, and domestic travel is required approximately 10% of the time to other Delta offices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Security, Computer Networking, or a related field, and 5 years of experience in network engineering.
  • Alternatively, a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Security, Computer Networking, or a related field, and 3 years of experience in network engineering.
  • Experience with F5 Load balancers, APM (Access Policy Manager), and F5 GTM (Global Site Load Balancer).
  • Proficiency in Cisco network equipment, such as routers and switches.
  • Experience in Network Routing & Switching with layer 4-7 services integration in data center and enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of Infoblox DNS, DHCP, SNMP, IPv4, VLANS, LAN, and Static Routing.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning, designing, and delivering network solutions around Cisco's Data Centre technologies.
  • Integrate network solutions into Delta's overall data center architecture and design.
  • Support senior network engineers and architects in designing, testing, implementing, and supporting network infrastructure.
  • Responsible for project planning and building network infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Document current and future requirements and assist with solution development.
  • Help estimate timelines for project implementation.
  • Develop and leverage vendor relationships to deliver network products and services.
  • Ensure network performance and reliability meet enterprise objectives for timely service restoration and tuning.
  • Work with the Enterprise Architecture team to develop and define network architecture incorporating standards, practices, processes, and products.
