About The Position

As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of our physical and virtual network infrastructure. This role focuses on maintaining a high-performance Cisco hardware environment while managing advanced virtualized networking via VMware clusters to support our hybrid-cloud strategy. You will serve as the primary technical contact for network scaling, security, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in network engineering within an enterprise environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Cisco: Expert knowledge of Cisco IOS/IOS-XE, OSPF, BGP, and SD-WAN.
• VMware: Hands-on experience with VMware ESXi and vSphere networking.
• Certifications: Active CCNP (Enterprise or Data Center) is required. VCP-NV (VMware Certified Professional – Network Virtualization) is highly preferred.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Cisco ACI multi-tenant network environments.
• Scripting proficiency in Python, Ansible, or PowerShell for network automation.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and micro-segmentation.

Responsibilities

• Cisco Infrastructure Management: Configure and maintain Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches, ISR/ASR routers, and Firepower-based firewalls.
• VMware Virtual Networking: Administer and optimize VMware vCenter, configuring standard and distributed virtual switches (vDS), VLANs, and virtual routing.
• Performance & Security: Monitor network health using tools like Cisco DNA Center or SolarWinds; implement security measures including ACLs, VPNs, and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
• Disaster Recovery: Plan and execute backup and recovery procedures for both physical and virtual network configurations.
• Project Leadership: Lead the modernization of network segments, including upgrading to Wi-Fi 6E/7 and integrating with cloud landing zones.
