About The Position

The position involves providing network design, architecture, and implementation support, including conducting advanced network analysis, capacity planning, and configuration management. The role requires performing integration of new technologies into existing infrastructures, optimizing network performance, and ensuring the secure operation of networks through protocol enhancements and security upgrades. Responsibilities include engineering, planning, installing, configuring, and maintaining network hardware such as routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls needed to support initial project deployments and upgrades within the customer network. The position also involves assisting the Government with the design and management of secure data communications connectivity between non-customer entities and the customer computing facilities/infrastructure. Additionally, the role requires supporting systems recovery efforts in the event of disruptions, providing domestic and international Internet Protocol (IP) data communications connectivity, and reviewing and updating logical network topologies to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
  • Current CISCO™ Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or current CISCO™ Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE).
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, design, and implementation.
  • Experience in enterprise-level networks, including data centers, cloud infrastructure, and large-scale WAN/LAN setups.
  • Proven experience in managing and troubleshooting network protocols such as TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, and MPLS.
  • Project management experience leading or working on network-related projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of network infrastructure components: routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless networks.
  • Proficiency in scripting/automation.
  • Familiarity with automation tools.
  • Expertise in network analyzing tools.
  • Strong knowledge of network security protocols and practices.
  • Experience with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and SDN (Software-Defined Networking).

Responsibilities
