As a Network Engineer II at Castle Biosciences, you will play a critical role in supporting and managing the organization's network infrastructure. A typical day begins with monitoring network performance dashboards, reviewing alerts, and addressing any issues that arise. Approximately 60% of your time will be dedicated to project work, including designing and maintaining both traditional and cloud-based networks. You'll collaborate closely with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure, reliable connectivity across the enterprise. This role also involves SNOC and Help Desk support, troubleshooting complex network issues, planning greenfield deployments, and optimizing wireless coverage through site surveys and heat mapping. Additional responsibilities include documenting changes, supporting escalations, and evaluating new vendor technologies-with a strong emphasis on expertise in cloud networking.
