Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with all departments within Eurofins DiscoverX to define and implement the Information Technology Solutions strategy, ensuring adherence to corporate and business line standards.
  • Manage the activities, expectations and objectives of a local team of IT technicians.
  • Assess existing processes and systems, identify areas for improvement based on business/user requirements and IT system functionalities, and recommend enhancements.
  • Actively participate in local IT deployments, including installation, customization, testing, documentation, and training of business applications such as Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN), Instrument Management Software, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and other relevant systems.
  • Contribute to the design, architecture, and development of existing and new systems to meet regulatory and business requirements.
  • Serve as the liaison with the Group/Regional IT Infrastructure teams, representing the business in related interactions.
  • Oversee and manage the internal IT support function to ensure efficient and timely resolution of end-user issues and requests.
  • Establish and enforce organizational standards to maintain a high-quality service.
  • Represent Eurofins DiscoverX in relevant IT workgroups and committees, including the Change Advisory Board (CAB).
  • Manage and support inspections and audits conducted by internal and/or external customers and authorities.
  • Uphold Eurofins' values and demonstrate the Eurofins leadership standards by fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the IT team and across the organization.
  • As a supervisor, lead recruitment and selection processes, provide orientation and training to new employees, and identify opportunities for their professional growth and development.
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment for employees by adhering to relevant health and safety policies and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent education or experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in IT application systems design, development, deployment, and support.
  • At least 2 years of experience in business process design and improvement, preferably in a laboratory/bioinformatics environment.
  • Experience managing international customers/projects.
  • Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, or Extreme Programming methodologies is welcomed.
  • Strong proficiency in English communication, both written and verbal.
  • Deep understanding of project management tools, concepts, and methodologies relevant to IT deployment projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of laboratory instrument systems and their software.
  • Expertise in software design, architecture, and integration processes.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards specific to the Life Sciences industry.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner certification is a plus.
