About The Position

We are searching for an IT Manager, Technical Product Owner, located in Raritan, New Jersey. Remote candidates in the US will be considered on a case by case basis and if approved by the company. As an integral member of a high-performance team, the IT Manager and Technical Product Owner will be responsible for developing and owning the strategic vision, prioritization, and deployment of IT infrastructure and digital products to support MedTech Education business capabilities. This role will serve as the Technical Product Owner for Event Management and HCP Contracting technology products, driving the product vision and setting priorities with business partners. This includes providing ongoing support to continuously enhance process efficiencies, reliability, and cybersecurity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a relevant field is required.
  • Minimum of 5+ years in a technology leadership role, including at least 5+ years in the Medical Technology domain is a plus.
  • Proficient in the digital product management lifecycle, managing product backlogs, prioritization, and defining user stories.
  • Skilled in gathering requirements and translating them into a product vision by applying expertise in product development, engineering and UX.
  • Familiarity with MS Dynamics 365.
  • Experience managing vendor partners in developing and supporting complex technical systems.
  • Experience in managing a product backlog/release plan.
  • Familiarity with customer journeys and customer experience.
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure.
  • Experience with software development and testing methodologies (SDLC) and Agile project management.
  • Proficient with JIRA, Confluence and SharePoint.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented approach.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders across complex matrix organizations.
  • Demonstrable ability to manage high levels of complexity and multiple competing priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Cvent is a plus.
  • Supervisory or people management experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with experience design and design thinking methodologies is a plus.
  • Sound organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Product owner for Event Management and HCP Contracting technology products, including end-to-end digital eco-system and integration.
  • Develop and communicate the squad vision and roadmap in delivering products, features around business needs and impact, aligning with IT objectives and ensuring effective partner communication.
  • Shape and prioritize the Backlog, utilizing business expertise and understanding of customer needs, translating requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Support business stakeholders and IT leaders in crafting robust business cases.
  • Collaborate closely with Product/Platform managers to establish the products' business value and identify requirements to deliver innovative digital solutions.
  • Prioritize product investments in collaboration with leadership to align with strategic goals.
  • Maintain ownership of the product backlog and roadmap, ensuring timely technology deployments and Agile adoption while engaging in scrum and synchronization ceremonies, refining user stories, and tracking metrics.
  • Collaborate to ensure all partners are aligned on product roadmap activities, design, interdependence and timelines.
  • Drive continuous technology improvements, supervising reliability metrics, including Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Collaborate with Information Security Risk Management (ISRM) to maintain secure operations and collaborate with Lead Engineer to balance tech debt efficiently with feature delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with SLAs related to issue resolution, product availability, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Lead or support demand management, incubate new ideas, lead test and learns, and assist scaling new products.
  • Establish performance goals and professional development feedback mechanisms while ensuring the completion of training programs that align with current role and future aspirations.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous learning, stay informed about technological trends and encouraging innovative practices.
