About The Position

Are you a results-driven, team-oriented IT leader? This is the opportunity for you! As an IT Manager I, you will oversee the day-to-day operations and management of an IT team, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and strategies. You will coordinate between IT functional areas, stakeholders, and customers, manage project scopes, and maintain deliverables within defined cost, schedule, and quality variances. You will also provide resource estimates and maintain visibility on team resource availability while ensuring the team is well-trained, high-performing, and motivated. As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 8+ years of IT experience.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications.
  • In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 12 years of related experience is required.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Proven experience in project management within IT.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and operations.
  • To conform to U.S. Government international trade regulations, applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), ITIL, or similar certifications.
  • Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manage team of 2+ report developers and analysts.
  • Manage incident tickets and their related triage, work assignment and communications.
  • Manage intake and prioritization for workload on Power BI and CER reporting and platform tasks.
  • Work with the business to understand use cases, expectations and timelines.
  • Translate business and functional requirements to create developer ready user stories.
  • Present user stories to development team during refinement.
  • Gather understanding and requirements by utilizing a user centric approach by conducting interviews and workshops with business stakeholders and users.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing including the creation of user acceptance test cases and conducting sessions with business users.
  • Document, formulate, communicate/present data usage as-is and to-be processes.
  • Communicate technical concepts to business users one-on-one and in group settings.
  • Create presentations and proof of concepts to showcase capabilities around new solutions.
  • Document/communicate Root Cause Analysis on system issues.
  • Manage escalations through the Director of Data Management & Delivery
