About The Position

Taylor Print and Visual Impressions is seeking an IT Manager that will oversee the development, implementation, and management of direct mail technology solutions. This role involves collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless integration of technology into direct mail campaigns, optimizing processes, and enhancing overall efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years IT management and/or technical experience with direct mail.
  • 3+ year's software / applications development /Data processing.
  • Proven experience in managing direct mail technology solutions and teams.
  • Strong knowledge of direct mail processes, including data processing, variable content generation, and proof generation.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server, Visual Cron, Quadient Inspire Designer, and other direct mail technology tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of resource capacity planning & forecasting.
  • Knowledge of software development methodology.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with automation tools like Visual Cron and Quadient Inspire Automation.
  • Experience with C#/.net.
  • Knowledge of USPS standards for mailing addresses and mail processing tools like BCC Architect and Mail Presort.
  • Familiarity with data programming and business rule application for direct mail campaigns.
  • Experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Composition tools a plus. Tools such as Pageflex, Quadient Inspire, and InDesign.
  • Basic knowledge in Marketing/Advertising, Print Industry and USPS Mailing requirements.
  • Knowledge of data processing, administration and database technology.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the direct mail technology team in developing and implementing technology solutions for direct mail campaigns.
  • Collaborate with marketing, IT, and customer service departments to ensure seamless integration of technology into direct mail processes.
  • Manage the automation of direct mail jobs, including data processing, variable content generation, and proof generation.
  • Oversee the implementation of business rules and ensure compliance with USPS standards for mailing addresses.
  • Optimize workflows and processes to improve efficiency and reduce turnaround times.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for direct mail technology solutions.
  • Maintain direct mail applications, Quadient, BCC, etc with licensing, upgrades, patches, etc.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve direct mail processes.
  • Train and mentor team members on direct mail technology tools and best practices.
  • Mentor, lead, train employees in technical complexities of assigned work.
  • Responsible to coordinate and communicate with Taylor-wide resources to share information, documentation, and subject matter expertise to minimize roadblocks to project progress.
  • Responsible to confer with technical contacts regarding how to resolve system issues.
  • Knows fundamental concepts of data security and compliance (e.g PCI, HSA, HITRUST).
