About the position

Global IT Leader of Data & Analytics is a visionary and technically adept at leading the global data strategy across a dynamic, multi-national company. This role will be responsible for full ownership of the data and analytics ecosystem, with a strong emphasis on SAP Business Data Cloud and Microsoft Power BI as foundational platforms. The ideal candidate will architect and govern a modern data landscape that ensures trusted, scalable, and AI-ready data assets, enabling real-time insights and enterprise-wide decision-making. This leader will drive the design and implementation of robust data governance frameworks and enterprise data architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation goals across finance, operations, supply chain, and other domains. Owens Corning Glass Reinforcements is a business unit of Owens Corning that is in the acquisition sign to close process. Owens Corning has signed an agreement to sell Glass Reinforcements to the Praana Group. The deal is expected to close by end of 2025. The path ahead will be dynamic, full of change, and expected to be fast paced with a change in ownership. The business operates from twenty (20+) locations across the globe. The information technology environment supporting our new company is being built from the ground up in terms of IT infrastructure and applications with the opportunity to leverage new technologies and new ways of thinking as we look to end a transition services agreement associated with the acquisition as soon as possible. Our Data and Analytics landscape is comprised of multiple solutions across the globe. We seek to consolidate and simplify our landscape to drive efficiency and effectiveness in our operations for decades ahead.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end deployment of SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) across the global organization, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
  • Provide technical leadership and business-value guidance to global project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Establish and enforce policies and procedures for data management, ensuring data quality, consistency, and security across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain the overall data architecture, including data models, standards, and integration frameworks to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
  • Explore and apply artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, including generative AI and agentic AI, to drive productivity and gain a competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders, functions, project teams, and key suppliers to gather detailed requirements and develop comprehensive portfolios and project plans for enterprise data, general reporting, and analytical requirements.
  • Oversee and guide application portfolio and project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring delivery within scope and on schedule.
  • Communicate the portfolio and project status, risks, and solutions effectively to senior management, stakeholders and project teams.

Requirements

  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of IT professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in data governance, data architecture, analytics and reporting with a proven track record of designing and managing complex data and analytics environments for large organizations.
  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on SAP experience, with a focus on large-scale deployments.
  • Experience implementing SAP Business Data Cloud and its underlying technologies.
  • Experience in modeling and governing enterprise data using SAP Datasphere, ensuring semantic consistency across SAP and third-party sources.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.

Nice-to-haves

  • A master's degree, equivalent work experience, or relevant professional certifications is preferred.
  • Proficiency in integrating AI tools like Joule and SAP Analytics Cloud to transform harmonized data into actionable insights for real-time decision-making.
