About The Position

The IT Knowledge Management (KM) Specialist provides documentation, knowledge-sharing, and information governance support for the DHA Domain and Directory Services Branch (DDSB). This role ensures enterprise IT knowledge is captured, structured, and made accessible to support operational continuity, service improvement, and compliance with DHA knowledge management practices.

Requirements

  • BS Computer Science Degree or related field, preferred or military training.
  • GSEC or Security+ certification.
  • ITIL4 Foundation certification.
  • Continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and maintain technical, procedural, and agreement documentation, translating complex technical content into clear, accessible formats.
  • Support the maintenance of the DDSB SharePoint Portal, ensuring accurate, current, and secure content is available to stakeholders.
  • Maintain a centralized repository of organizational foundation documents, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with DHA policies.
  • Produce knowledge base articles, training documentation, SOPs, and quick reference guides to enable efficient troubleshooting and knowledge transfer.
  • Promote situational awareness of technical changes, updates, and deployments that impact production environments.
  • Collaborate with system administrators, engineers, and IA staff to capture lessons learned and integrate them into the knowledge base for continuous improvement.
