Our internship program is designed to provide students with the opportunity to showcase their skills while gaining real-life experience that will help jump-start their careers. Interns will work on innovative solutions to real business challenges, all while building enduring relationships in a collaborative culture with their manager and an assigned mentor. This program is not just about gaining experience; it’s about contributing to a mission that truly matters. Interns will be engaged in various roles, including Software Engineering, Data Engineering, and Infrastructure Engineering. Each role involves participating in the software development lifecycle, from capturing and analyzing requirements to designing, testing, documenting, and implementing software solutions. Interns will also have the opportunity to resolve complex production issues, design scalable infrastructure, and deliver quality reporting and data intelligence solutions. This hands-on experience is invaluable for those looking to make a significant impact in their future careers. The internship positions are based in San Antonio, TX; Plano, TX; and Phoenix, AZ, and are aimed at students pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher at a 4-year accredited university, with a graduation date after the final day of the internship. The 2025 internship will start on May 28, 2025, and last through August 8, 2025. USAA views its internship program as a pipeline to possible future employment, based on performance, role qualifications, and business needs.
