About The Position

In this role, the successful individual will support our critical information, systems, and assets, deploy new software and hardware, and provide training and support to our end users. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about applying their skills to technology-based business model. Objectives of this Role Support essential IT functions, including operating systems, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware. Support projects, solutions, and key responsibilities within a larger business initiative. Assist with business-critical IT tasks and systems that provide commercial advantage in a global marketplace. Nurture dependable IT infrastructure and networking that’s always up and running.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Foundational IT Knowledge: Understanding of basic IT principles, including hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • Networking Basics: Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and an ability to troubleshoot basic networking issues.
  • Operating Systems: Experience with various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux, and understanding their administration basics.
  • Software and Hardware Installation: Ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications and hardware devices.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in an IT role or related project work is advantageous but not required.
  • Relevant Coursework or Projects: Courses or personal projects related to IT that demonstrate practical skills and knowledge.
  • Certifications: Any IT-related certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or vendor-specific certifications) can be a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the IT helpdesk and provide support for tickets in a timely manner.
  • Respond to IT-related queries on the phone, via email, and in person.
  • Perform user administration tasks, including creating users and groups, assigning security permissions, and troubleshooting current users.
  • Maintain internal infrastructure including but not limited to, laptop and desktop computers, printers, and phones.
  • Set up and deploy new laptops and desktops.
  • Interact with the IT staff and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.
