About The Position

SitelogIQ is a rapidly growing company focused on making buildings better. We provide planning, design, and management solutions for organizations that want efficient and sustainable building environments that are healthier and safer for their occupants. SitelogIQ’s IT Internship program offers college students the opportunity to get exposure to different areas within the IT field, specifically to asset management. This summer internship is a comprehensive eight-to-twelve-week experience where interns will get to work alongside SitelogIQ’s employees to learn about their roles and responsibilities in the office. Travel is limited and generally contained within the Minneapolis-St Paul area. The hourly rate for this role is $25.

Requirements

  • Interest in Information Technology fields, currently enrolled in an Information Technology degree program with either a 2 or 4 year college.
  • Strong knowledge of applications like Microsoft Windows and Office, smartphones, and PC hardware configuration.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
  • An aptitude for communications and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships (internally and externally) is a must.
  • The candidate should be a self-starter who is well organized and a team player, have strong communications skills, and be able to multi-task and work under established deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory of hardware, software, and licenses using ITSM tools (e.g., Freshservice)
  • Validate asset ownership, lifecycle status, and compliance requirements
  • Assist in software license tracking and optimization efforts
  • Generate reports to support audits, compliance, and cost management
  • Support monitoring of security alerts, logs, and endpoint protection tools
  • Assist with vulnerability tracking and remediation follow-ups
  • Participate in security awareness initiatives and user education
  • Help maintain and document security policies and procedures
  • Assist with setup, deployment, and troubleshooting of end-user devices
  • Support network and system administration tasks under supervision
  • Participate in infrastructure projects (upgrades, migrations, deployments)
  • Maintain documentation for systems, configurations, and processes
  • Provide support for enterprise platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, SaaS applications)
  • Assist with user provisioning, access management, and troubleshooting
  • Help document workflows and identify process improvement opportunities
  • Support data integrity and system configuration efforts
  • Provide end-user technical support with guidance from IT staff
  • Collaborate across IT teams and contribute to cross-functional projects
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow IT standards and procedures
  • Present a final summary of work, insights, and recommendations to IT leadership
