The primary purpose of an IT Intern-Web Development is to support CMS web development, maintenance, and troubleshooting while gaining hands-on experience with coding, design, and website functionality. They assist teams in improving digital platforms, ensuring optimal user experience, and implementing new technologies. This position is full time in the summer on site at our Waukesha, Wisconsin headquarters facility.

Requirements

• Location This position is on-site and located in Waukesha, WI.
• Education Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program.
• Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Experience with coding or programming (.Net).
• Technical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Effective communication skills and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Education Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Data Science or IT.
• Work Experience Prior experience with coding projects, website design, or technical troubleshooting.
• Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Basic web develop knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with web frameworks (Angular, Vue, etc.).
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab).
• Knowledge of project/backlog management systems (ADO, Jira).
• Knowledge of UI/UX principles and web accessibility standards.

Responsibilities

• Website Development & Maintenance – coding, updating, and maintaining website – front-end and back-end.
• Help integrate APIs and third-party services.
• Troubleshooting & Debugging – Identify and resolve technical issues to improve functionality – front end and back-end.
• Collaboration & Team Support – Work with developers, designers, and content teams on web projects.
• Engage in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to stay aligned with team goals.
