About The Position

The Information Technology group within Kimball International's Corporate Headquarters is seeking a college student for an exciting summer internship opportunity during the summer of 2026. This internship will provide hands-on experience in application development and software engineering, working alongside experienced developers on real-world projects that impact Kimball's business operations.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Basic understanding of programming languages such as C#, Python, or JavaScript
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle and methodologies

• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Coursework or projects involving application development or software engineering
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic knowledge of databases

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, coding, testing, and debugging software applications

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
• Help with troubleshooting and resolving software defects
