About The Position

At Eisai, the human health care (hhc) mission focuses on satisfying unmet medical needs and increasing benefits for patients, their families, and caregivers. Eisai is a growing pharmaceutical company with a strong emphasis on research and development in neurology and oncology. This internship supports the Global Data & Analytics team across data architecture, data engineering, and analytics. The role involves building data pipelines, creating visualizations, and contributing to generative AI research and projects. Strong technical foundations in Python/SQL and data concepts, along with solid communication and organizational skills, are required.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or graduate degree program at an accredited academic institution in a relevant field (Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or related discipline)
  • Experienced in Python, PySpark, SQL, or similar languages
  • Skilled in the concepts of Databases, Analytics and Dashboarding, AI Solutions Building
  • Project management and strong organizational skills
  • Solid analytical and critical thinking
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex details in a concise manner
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Must be a rising junior or senior
  • Ability to work onsite at our Nutley, NJ office three days per week (Tuesday–Thursday)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Excel, Word, Email, SharePoint, and Visio (preferred but not required)
  • Local candidates preferred due to the onsite requirement

Responsibilities

  • Data architecture for big and relational data storage solutions
  • Data strategy implementation assuring alignment with business needs and use cases
  • Data engineering such as building data pipelines for utilization by data science and AI solutions
  • Generative AI solutions research and POC implementation(s)
  • Creation of data visualizations utilizing tools such as Tableau
  • Creation of supporting documentation
