The Cybersecurity Intern will assist the Sr. Manager of Cybersecurity Program Management with various cybersecurity-related projects. This includes organizing the Cybersecurity Capability Team's digital workspaces, participating in planning and scheduling activities, collecting and organizing risks, and visualizing metrics for stakeholder groups. The intern will take on additional projects as needed.

  • Participate in Agile cybersecurity projects, assisting with risk assessment and mitigation efforts.
  • Create project workflows using Jira, ensuring tasks are tracked and completed efficiently.
  • Collaborate with IT and Cybersecurity teams to support various initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats and advancements.
  • Engage in Agile ceremonies and documentation to maintain capability team momentum.
  • Assist with the collection, analysis, and reporting of cybersecurity metrics.
  • Provide valuable insights to stakeholders.
  • Assist with other projects as needed.
  • Currently enrolled as a sophomore or above in a Bachelor's degree program, or enrolled in a Master's degree program in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency or ability to learn using digital workspace tools (Jira, Teams, SharePoint, Confluence).
  • Experience or ability to learn security tools and technologies such as PAM, EDR, ZScaler.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and visualize data.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Interest in cybersecurity and staying updated on the latest threats and advancements.
  • Basic understanding of network security principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and analysis.
  • Understanding of risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certifications such as ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
