Position Summary The IT Integration Specialist plays a critical role in supporting M&A integration projects, new growth initiatives (e.g., Denovos, service-line expansions), and ongoing process optimization for a multi-site Dental Support Organization (DSO). This position combines technical expertise with project coordination skills to ensure seamless technology integration and readiness across acquired and newly established practices. Responsibilities include onsite installations, technology setup and testing, M&A diligence, and participation in project management activities. This role requires strong technical acumen, adaptability, and a willingness to travel frequently.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of IT experience in systems engineering, infrastructure, or integration roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer or information science-related field required.
  • Strong technical skills in networking, Microsoft environments, Active Directory, and SaaS platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware setup, network configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with M&A integration and multi-site IT deployments.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently in fast-paced environments.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for onsite work (up to 75%).
  • Solid knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage complex, multi-site integrations under tight timelines.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with IT governance frameworks and compliance standards (HIPAA, SOC 2).
  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices.
  • Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and industry.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Highly adept at receiving professional feedback and agile with implementing change as directed.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in computer or information science-related field.
  • Previous experience supporting medical offices and/or dental practices.
  • Certifications: CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, PMP, Agile or similar.
  • Familiarity with dental PMS platforms (Denticon, Cloud 9, DSN Cloud) and imaging systems strongly preferred.
  • Experience with ITIL processes and ticketing systems (ServiceNow, ZenDesk, etc.).
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare IT standards.

Responsibilities

  • Execute IT integration activities for M&A transactions, including infrastructure assessments, system migrations, and PMS onboarding.
  • Support Denovo site setups, including hardware installation, network configuration, and technology readiness testing.
  • Collaborate with Operations and IT leadership to ensure technology alignment with organizational standards.
  • Install and configure workstations, networking equipment, printers, imaging devices, and other IT assets at new or acquired locations.
  • Validate connectivity and system performance for PMS platforms (Denticon, Cloud 9, DSN Cloud) and ancillary applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during integration and go-live phases.
  • Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and resource allocations for integration and growth projects.
  • Track progress, manage tasks, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
  • Document processes and maintain accurate records for compliance and audit purposes.
  • Participate in IT due diligence for potential acquisitions, evaluating infrastructure, security posture, and technology gaps.
  • Provide recommendations for integration strategies and cost estimates.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline integration workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Contribute to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT integration and site readiness.
