About The Position

Manages technology change in application integration domain across Science & Technology organization, to meet business objectives, and maximize value of investments in integration solutions – providing value for the organization, VNS Health employees, and our customers. Applies various API-based integration architecture viewpoints including applications, infrastructure, integration, and security considerations for key platforms like Amazon Web Services, and MuleSoft towards cost-effective integration with systems like Salesforce, Snowflake, ServiceNow, Workday, HomeCare HomeBase, Guiding Care, NetSmart, HHAeXchange, and others as needed. Designs, builds and run API-led integration across internal and external systems using MuleSoft based platform.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Technology, or a related field, required
  • Minimum two years of technology experience, in the areas of Application Integration and Cloud Engineering Solutions design required
  • Proven expertise in at least two of the following areas is required: Cloud, Data, Integration, Infrastructure, Security Architecture required
  • Hands-on experience with Java and MuleSoft Anypoint platform in a development or configuration capacity, including design patterns, MuleSoft API-based connectivity, and error handling preferred
  • Preferred development background with Java, J2EE, database building, SQL scripting, and management: SQL, PL/SQL, JDBC, mapping, and workflow tools
  • Experience designing API specs using RAML, Swagger, OpenAPI or other API modeling tools
  • Deep understanding of the MuleSoft platform, its capabilities, and best practices required
  • Experience with tools and technologies related to integration, such as REST API, Web Services, XML, and JSON
  • Familiarity with testing and agile methodologies and their application in MuleSoft projects required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including attention to details required

Responsibilities

  • Leads the design and development of MuleSoft applications, ensuring they align with the business needs and IT strategies
  • Uses broad knowledge of cloud and application integration domains with existing and emerging platforms, processes and architectures to define problems and outline data solution alternatives
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define, design and add new features relevant to API-integration domain
  • Interacts with leadership and partners to ensure that both immediate and long-term business needs are met
  • Maintains professional knowledge of current trends and developments, vendor roadmaps, domain models and integration architecture blueprints to educate technology teams and stakeholders
  • Designs and develops APIs from specification to implementation in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
  • Participates in the continuous improvement of MuleSoft & cloud-based tools and processes (AWS)
  • Ensures the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of API-based integration assets
  • Helps improve code quality, organization, and automation
  • Identifies bottlenecks and troubleshoots to determine solutions
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
