About The Position

The IT Infrastructure & Support Specialist at Hooper Corporation is responsible for providing technical and administrative support for computer systems, peripheral hardware, and cybersecurity initiatives. This role involves assisting the Network/Systems Administrator and ensuring effective hardware and software operations within the computer network. The position requires a proactive approach to problem resolution and end-user support, contributing to the overall efficiency of the IT infrastructure.

Requirements

• Two-year degree in computer science (Desktop Support, Network Specialist, Network Administration, Cybersecurity Specialist).
• High-level working knowledge of interaction between microcomputer hardware and software.
• Good manipulative and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively train end users in operation of PC and various software programs.
• Ability to communicate with and support internal end users of the network.

Responsibilities

• Provide end user technical support and problem resolution.
• Assist the Network/Systems Administrator with all aspects of network administration.
• Perform microcomputer system setup, software installation and configuration, and peripheral equipment installation and integration.
• Install new and upgraded hardware and software as required.
• Monitor equipment performance, document problems, and schedule hardware maintenance tasks.
• Conduct training and provide application software and peripheral hardware troubleshooting to end-users.
• Perform routine system backups and data recovery.
• Manage and coordinate administrative and technical procedures in the absence of the Network/Systems Administrator.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
