We are seeking a highly qualified candidate to join our Information Technology Group, responsible for designing and operating our IT infrastructure. As the IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will design and implement information systems to support our datacenter, server, and storage operations. This role involves defining next-generation architectures, conducting technology research, analyzing market trends, and ensuring seamless integration of datacenter and server solutions. Location: Daily onsite presence at our San Jose HQ Location in alignment with our Flexible Work policy.

  • Design, build, and maintain optimal datacenter and server room infrastructure.
  • Lead new datacenter and server room design projects and upgrades.
  • Monitor operations and environmental controls to ensure uninterrupted services.
  • Implement best practices for datacenter management to investigate and resolve performance issues.
  • Identify and manage assets and overall operational status related to datacenters and networks.
  • Define and document architectural standards, patterns, and best practices for datacenter solutions.
  • Design, build, and operate high-performance server and storage systems.
  • Analyze and recommend server and storage specifications based on lab requirements.
  • Establish management processes to optimize server and storage operations.
  • Conduct technical evaluations and proofs-of-concept for server and storage products from external vendors.
  • Partner with teams in network, security, and operations to integrate solutions seamlessly within the IT ecosystem.
  • Participate in company infrastructure projects as a systems specialist and solution provider.
  • Monitor IT resource utilization and develop optimization plans.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in server, storage, and datacenter domains.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience) with 5+ years of work experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years of work experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in datacenter, server, and storage administration.
  • Broad expertise in infrastructure systems, including HPE, Cisco, Dell, Lenovo, NetApp, AWS, Azure, GCP, Linux, Microsoft Windows Server, Virtualization/VMware, server clustering, MS Active Directory, enterprise backup solutions, and networking protocols.
  • Experience in designing and promoting new datacenter construction projects.
  • Proficiency in high-speed networking topologies and testing commonly used in datacenter environments.
  • Understanding of Linux system (e.g., OS, NFS, DNS, LDAP).
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and propose solutions for complex challenges.
