About The Position

Summary of Position: Plans and designs the Liberty Power IT systems infrastructure, including the design, implementation, and continual improvement of hardware and software. Responsibilities include analysis of problems or Company/departmental needs from a technology standpoint, development of solutions, analysis, testing, and continual improvement of solutions, and ongoing maintenance of solutions.

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems/Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of practical experience in IT systems and systems design.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of IT systems and support practices.
  • Practical experience implementing and supporting Ignition SCADA solution.
  • Deep understanding of virtualization.
  • Knowledge of IT service management principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy principles and best practices.
  • Knowledge of operating systems and network fundamentals.
  • Ability to effectively learn and apply new technologies.
  • Ability to embrace the concept of continual improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure, manage multiple concurrent tasks and responsibilities, and deal with changing priorities while maintaining personal effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Defines, communicates, and manages the execution of infrastructure strategy, standards, and roadmaps based on the Company's current state and short- and long-term needs.
  • Works on and manages all phases of system and service management, including scoping, design, testing, deployment, release, and continual improvement of new and existing systems and services.
  • Develops and maintains documentation for supported applications, processes, and training materials to internal employees and IT staff.
  • Participates in general IT operations and user support.
  • Contributes to a supportive team culture by engaging respectfully, sharing knowledge, and collaborating openly.
  • Builds and maintains cross-functional relationships with internal teams to drive initiatives.
  • Identifies, plans, and implements automation within systems to improve efficiency.
  • Develops system monitoring and supports automation to enhance and scale the quality of support.
  • Serves as an escalation point for other IT teams and assists with mentoring and providing technical guidance to more junior staff members.
  • Participates in the planning process and ensures architectural designs and principles are incorporated in the company systems implementations.
