About The Position

ITTConnect is seeking a IT Infrastructure and Network Engineer for a direct-hire full time position with a client that is a large financial institution. Job location: Coral Gables, FL Position is hybrid (3x a week on site) We are seeking a Network and Infrastructure Specialist responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of the on-premises and cloud infrastructure. This role covers system administration, Microsoft 365 E5 management, security operations, network design, and project execution—all within a highly regulated financial environment. This is a hands-on, on-site position supporting mission critical systems and collaborating with IT teams, business units, and third-party vendors.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with IT Infrastructure Support
  • Experience with firewalls (Fortigate), VMware, Cisco switching, and VDI
  • Experience with high availability, clustered environments, storage systems, and disaster recovery
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, server administration, and security best practices
  • Experience with scripting and automation is a plus.
  • Highly desirable previous experience working for Financial Services / Banks
  • Highly desirable fluency in Portuguese or Spanish
  • Desirable certifications: Microsoft, Azure, AWS, VMware, Nutanix, Citrix, CCNA
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and administer servers, virtualization platforms, and core banking infrastructure.
  • Oversee Windows/Linux server lifecycle: deployment, upgrades, patching, and decommissioning.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 E5, including Exchange Online, Intune, Security, and Compliance.
  • Manage Entra ID (Azure AD) and on-premises Active Directory, including GPOs, authentication, and user provisioning.
  • Design and support network infrastructure, ensuring performance, scalability, and segmentation.
  • Configure firewalls (Fortigate preferred), VPNs (IPsec), and NAC solutions.
  • Implement and monitor security policies, threat detection, and incident response procedures.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues using structured analysis and diagnostic tools.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and configuration standards.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term improvements.
  • Lead local technical projects, ensuring timely and compliant delivery.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Support internal/external audits, regulatory requirements, and policy adherence.
  • Monitor changes in Bank policies and ensure departmental compliance.
