About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Infrastructure Analyst to join our dynamic IT team. This role is crucial for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of our core IT infrastructure, encompassing networks, servers, cloud services, and end-user support. Location: Lincoln, Nebraska Must reside in the State of Nebraska Work is performed on-site in Lincoln, Nebraska during normal business hours (Monday - Friday) Pay Range: $77,130.56 to $90,871.04 annually Pay rate may be commensurate with education and/or experience within fiscal constraints, if approved.

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications : Associate degree in computer science, information systems, or related field with at least three years of infrastructure systems experience, or six or more years of infrastructure systems experience in the absence of a technical degree.
  • Knowledge of system development life cycle as applied to infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of customer service and quality assurance principles.
  • Knowledge of expenditure control.
  • Knowledge of relational database principles.
  • Ability to create and maintain a positive working environment.
  • Ability to maintain a high order of discipline and responsibility in carrying out assigned duties as a representative of the court.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment within a broad framework of existing policies and procedures.
  • Ability to apply professional knowledge, methods, and techniques to information technology problems and to devise effective solutions.
  • Ability to recognize new and upcoming information technology and its applicability to court needs.
  • Ability to apply customer service and quality assurance principles.
  • Ability to effectively utilize the court’s computer system and plan, develop, and implement information technology solutions, processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure and Systems Administration Design, implement, monitor, and maintain infrastructure systems (servers, storage, networking, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Ensure infrastructure performance, scalability, and high availability.
  • Conduct regular health checks, system upgrades, patching, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Administer Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, and virtualization tools (VMs).
  • Perform automation scripting using tools like Ansible or Puppet.
  • Maintain infrastructure documentation, procedures, and system changes.
  • Information Security Serve as the court’s Information Security Officer.
  • Implement and oversee security strategies, policies, audits, patching, and vulnerability assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, configurations, and industry best practices.
  • Network Administration Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, VPNs.
  • Maintain networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, SNMP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Monitor network performance and collaborate with the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) for network upgrades and testing.
  • Hardware and Software Support Install, configure, and troubleshoot PC/server hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Manage helpdesk functions, including ticketing, issue tracking, and resolution.
  • Maintain hardware/software inventories and oversee vendor coordination.
  • Mobile and Desktop Device Management Deploy and support desktop, laptop, and mobile devices.
  • Manage patching and updates for end-user systems.
  • Support field staff and mobile systems as needed.
  • Research, Procurement, and Strategic Planning Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies.
  • Obtain quotes, submit purchase requests, and track IT assets.
  • Support IT planning, budgeting, and cross-agency initiatives.
  • Assist in project planning and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Training and Support Provide informal technical training to users and mentorship to IT staff.
  • Develop and maintain user guides and infrastructure documentation.
  • Act as a liaison for training, application tools, and IT best practices.
  • General and Administrative Participate in tactical IT planning and technology standardization.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, documentation, and presentations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Technology Manager or Court Administrator.
