The Information Security Associate is an information security professional responsible for implementation of security procedures which safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data. This role involves conducting analysis of log files, evidence, and other information to identify evidence of past intrusions, performing analysis of log files from various sources to identify possible threats to network security, and notifying designated managers and cybersecurity service provider team members of suspected cyber incidents. The associate will also perform cyber defense incident triage, monitor system operations, conduct vulnerability scans, and communicate technical information effectively to non-technical audiences.

  • Conducts analysis of log files, evidence, and other information to identify evidence of past intrusions.
  • Performs analysis of log files from a variety of sources to identify possible threats to network security.
  • Notifies designated managers, cyber incident responders, and cybersecurity service provider team members of suspected cyber incidents.
  • Performs cyber defense incident triage, determining scope, urgency, and potential impact.
  • Monitors system operations and reacts to events in response to triggers and/or observation of trends or unusual activity.
  • Conducts vulnerability scans and recognizes vulnerabilities in security systems under guidance.
  • Communicates technical information to less technical or non-technical audiences.
  • Receives and analyzes network alerts from various sources and determines possible causes.
  • Isolates and removes malware.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment in compliance with all Policies and Procedures.
  • Associate's degree in information technology, Business, Computer Science, Finance or a related field from an accredited college or university, or three (3) years of relevant work experience.
  • Level I fingerprint clearance card: current valid and in good standing or have applied for it within seven working days after beginning employment.
  • Reliable transportation that can meet operational reassignments during the workday.
  • Valid driver's license and compliance with Arizona vehicle insurance requirements.
  • Obtain and maintain an information security certification within one (1) year of hire.
