The Utility Technology Services (UTS) section of Tacoma Power is hiring for a IT Helpdesk Intern! This is an opportunity for a college student to gain work experience in the information technology field. The intern will be part of the Utility Technology Services (UTS) Desktop Support and Service Desk team that provide support for various services provided by Utility Technology Services to include incident management, service request management, change management, asset management for computers and software tracking. In this role, the intern will be providing rapid and courteous response to customers, resolving end user technology related issues at a tier 1 or tier 2 function, troubleshooting computer hardware and software issues via a variety of methods such as in person, over the phone, or via remote control. This position will serve on a limited duration and provides opportunity to learn the functions of and methodologies of a IT Helpdesk Specialist as well as be involved in all levels of support for the TPU customer base to become eligible for City positions.
