About The Position

The IT Help Desk / Tier 1 Support Technician provides first-level technical support. This role is primarily onsite at the Columbia, SC repack warehouse, with remote support for Smyrna and occasional travel to Florence for plant support.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of IT Help Desk or Tier 1 Support experience (additional experience preferred)
  • Basic IT troubleshooting and customer support skills
  • Exposure to network connectivity troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience with physical network cabling
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Must be local to the Columbia, SC area and able to work onsite

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 technical support for end users in a manufacturing and warehouse setting
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, printers, and basic application issues
  • Perform basic network connectivity troubleshooting, including switches and cabling
  • Assist with and maintain physical network cabling within the warehouse and plant areas
  • Support workstations, scanners, and peripherals used in manufacturing and logistics operations
  • Document issues and resolutions in the ticketing system
  • Provide remote support to the Smyrna location
  • Travel occasionally to the Florence plant to support onsite IT needs
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT support as needed
