About The Position

SUMMARY: The IT Supervisor is responsible for the timely sorting, packing, shipping and delivery of computer and other electronic products to vendors by coordinating sorting and shipping activities and managing department layout and schedules. This position verifies and keeps records of incoming product and outgoing shipments. Must understand data-collection analytics, problem solving, and daily reporting to build a sustainable packing and shipping business process at the distribution center. .

Requirements

  • Associates or technical degree preferred or High School diploma and 3-5 years' experience.
  • A+ Certification with knowledge of all IT systems including, but not limited to, servers, PCs, hardware, and peripherals preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience and understanding of shipping and receiving within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • Previous Supervisor experience in a similar work environment.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task & handle task with competing priorities.
  • Familiarity with shipping practices, terminology and various modes of transportation.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
  • Requires acceptable results of all required background checks

Responsibilities

  • Supervises associates involved with the receiving, packing, and shipping of donated computer and related equipment
  • IT back up when IT manager not available
  • Assures adherence to the equipment sorting process.
  • Assigns daily schedule and tasks to Material Handler.
  • Responsible for monthly shipping schedule planning and execution.
  • Maintains stocking, staging, and loading functions.
  • Maintains department records and keeps management informed
  • Implements safety and good housekeeping standards per Goodwill policies & procedures.
  • Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
  • Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications.
  • Inspects material handling equipment for defects and notifies maintenance personnel or contacts outside of service facility for repairs.
  • Responsible for physical inventory and cycle counting as required.
  • Adjusts errors and complaints and applies company policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
