About The Position

Join GardaWorld's growing IT Support Team! The IT Support Hardware Specialist is responsible for managing the lifecycle of computers, mobile devices, tablets, and network equipment as required by the field. The hardware specialist works closely with the help desk team to ensure that inventory is properly managed and to meet time-sensitive deadlines for the deployment of hardware.

Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Able to pass an extensive screening process.
  • Associate degree or trade school preferred.
  • CompTIA A+ preferred.
  • 2-3 years of IT hardware experience.
  • 1-2 years of Android and iOS experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory of computers, mobile devices, tablets, and network equipment.
  • Perform imaging of Windows computers using SCCM and Intune technologies.
  • Manage the lifecycle of Google Chromebook and Pixel devices.
  • Check returned hardware and prepare for re-issuing as required.
  • Determine disposition of damaged hardware and send to repair or decommission as needed.
  • Assist in the development of new hardware processes and testing.
  • Order hardware peripherals such as monitors, docking stations, headsets, etc.
  • Support the help desk with IT support tickets relating to hardware problems.
  • Manage the shipping and tracking of all hardware to the field.
  • Follow up on hardware returns to ensure all devices are returned upon departure of users.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
