About the position
The Tech Fundamentals program is a free training initiative designed to provide young adults and military veterans or their spouses with essential skills in technology. The program offers virtual instruction, industry-recognized certifications, and opportunities for internships or project-based learning experiences, aimed at preparing participants for careers in the IT field.
Responsibilities
- Participate in up to 20 weeks of instructor-led virtual training.
- Engage in a paid internship or project-based learning experience.
- Earn industry-recognized certifications such as CompTIA A+ and Google IT Support Certificate.
- Receive mentoring from senior-level IT professionals.
- Attend employment readiness workshops.
- Access job placement assistance with a network of top employers.
Requirements
- Must be a young adult (18-26 years) or a military veteran/spouse.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Legally authorized to work in the US.
- If a military veteran or spouse, must be over 21 years of age and either a transitioning active-duty servicemember, honorably discharged, or a member of the Guard or Reserves.
