Sodexo at Memorial Health of Southwest Oklahoma has a great opportunity for an IT- Focused Biomedical Equipment Technician 1 located in Lawton, OK. Memorial Health System of Southwest Oklahoma is a 265-bed regional referral center and integrated delivery system providing medical services in virtually every specialty. Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, Information Technology, or related technical field focused on the maintenance and support of clinical equipment within a healthcare environment. Completion of a military BMET program and/or AAMI certification considered equivalent.
  • Foundational understanding of TCP IP networking concepts, device connectivity, and support of network connected medical devices preferred.
  • Experience supporting clinical systems that interface with servers, virtual environments, or middleware platforms preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and network related issues in a clinical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, repair and calibrate clinical equipment, devices and systems in accordance with department procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary HTM resource for network connected medical devices, including device onboarding support, IP configuration coordination, and connectivity validation in collaboration with hospital IT.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues involving wired and wireless medical devices, including validation of network communication, server connections, and system interfaces.
  • Support patch coordination, firmware updates, and cybersecurity related activities for connected medical equipment in collaboration with IT and Information Security.
  • Assist with validation and support of clinical system integrations, including middleware platforms, device servers, and related infrastructure as assigned.
  • Interact routinely with clinical providers to identify technology based issues and implement corrective action.
  • Prepare required service documentation, maintain accurate records in the CMMS, and support regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Support parts procurement and service related financial accountability within assigned scope.
  • Demonstrate and promote a safety focused mindset in all activities.
