About The Position

The IT Financial Analyst plays a dual role in supporting the financial planning and operational effectiveness of Bayview’s IT organization. This role partners closely with IT leadership, Finance, and Operations teams to provide financial insights into technology investments while helping ensure efficient execution of IT operations, processes, and service delivery. The Analyst supports data-driven decision-making, cost optimization, and continuous improvement across the IT portfolio, with exposure to enterprise technology operations and financial management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • 2–5 years of experience in IT finance, operations, or financial analysis within a mid-to-large enterprise environment.
  • Proficiency in enterprise applications such as Jira, Oracle, Concur, Microsoft, or other ERP/ITSM technology platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using Excel, Power BI, or equivalent data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Understanding of IT cost structures (CapEx and OpEx), chargeback/showback models, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with IT Financial Management (ITFM) or Technology Business Management (TBM) frameworks preferred.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or COBIT governance practices preferred.
  • Certification in finance, IT governance, or project management (e.g., CGEIT, ITIL, PMP, CFA) is a plus.
  • Candidates with backgrounds in FP&A, consulting, or technology advisory who are seeking deeper exposure to IT operations are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor IT operational costs and usage across infrastructure, software, and services to ensure alignment with budgetary and strategic priorities.
  • Conduct variance and trend analysis to identify financial risks, savings opportunities, and operational impacts.
  • Analyze spend data to uncover cost-saving opportunities, inefficiencies, or duplications in IT services and tools.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and recurring reports that provide visibility into IT resource utilization, budget adherence, and operational performance.
  • Collaborate with IT Operations teams to track and analyze costs related to infrastructure, cloud, software, and services.
  • Support IT budgeting and forecasting processes in partnership with Finance and IT leadership.
  • Track vendor contracts and software licenses to support compliance, cost control, and renewal planning.
  • Contribute to IT procurement governance by reviewing proposals and validating cost-benefit justifications.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to evaluate IT operational efficiency and recommend process or cost improvements.
  • Participate in IT audit readiness and compliance activities by helping ensure documentation, processes, and controls are maintained.
  • Collaborate with enterprise teams to assess tool usage, streamline technology portfolios, and promote adoption of standardized solutions.
