About The Position

The IT Equipment Provisioning Specialist will be responsible for the execution of Information Technology processes that ensure a compliant and optimized IT hardware, software and telecommunications environment. This position will be responsible for guiding and executing the asset management processes including inventory tracking, storage, reporting, auditing, RMA/warranty repair, and disposal of hardware and software.

Requirements

  • Prefer a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology (IT) or related field.
  • Must have 8 years of experience managing and provisioning end user devices.
  • Must have 3 years of experience in a large, enterprise IT operations environment.
  • Must have 2 years of experience in managing technology implementations, deployments or rollouts.
  • Must have knowledge of personal computer operations and functions.
  • Must have knowledge of telecommunications devices operations and functions.
  • Must be able to develop and maintain operational processes and standards.
  • Must be detailed oriented and be able to demonstrate understanding regarding the documentation processes.
  • Must be computer literate, with basic knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and/or database software.
  • Must have effective oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Performs IT inventory management for Desktops, Laptops, Tablets, Mobile Devices/Smart Phones, 2-Way Radios, Pagers and associated peripherals/consumables.
  • Tracks and reports on the location, description and associated user information for hardware and software technology assets.
  • Reports on the financial impact of product lifecycle including reports on stock turn.
  • Facilitates RMA, warranty and maintenance repairs.
  • Loads/installs/configures all incoming end user devices.
  • Configures user accounts and system settings.
  • Troubleshoots technical issues working with Desktop Support, End User Computing and Systems Engineering as needed.
  • Prepares and ships equipment to other Parkland locations and remote workers.
  • Coordinates the IT asset disposal process.
  • Assists in identifying system issues during imaging, configuration and maintenance cycles.
  • Evaluates all equipment returned to IT Fulfillment for re-use or recycle.
  • Provides input for process improvement and facilitates process improvement implementation as needed.
  • Leads projects for IT Fulfillment, working under the indirect supervision from the manager.
  • Identifies ways to improve work processes and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Supports audits related to IT assets, including collecting asset information directly and leading asset inventory projects.
  • Monitors all tickets through completion, resolving any discrepancies that may occur.
  • Represents the interests of the customer internally, providing appropriate escalation to other Parkland teams.
  • Assists with troubleshooting and problem resolution on telecommunications equipment and services as needed.
  • Creates and tracks inventory orders for Desktop Support, Network and Telecom via Lawson and the IT Store as needed.
  • Creates, receives and dispatches tickets to Desktop Support.
  • Attends and participates in team meetings and discussions.
  • Performs all activities in compliance with the internal and external requirements/standards for Health & Safety, Quality, Regulatory and Finance.
  • Maintains knowledge of operational procedures and standards.
