Provides systems engineering support for any area within Technology. This role involves performing and implementing the daily operational activities of the Technology engineering work function, which may include responsibilities to deploy, operate, scale, tune and troubleshoot server systems, website, app infrastructure and/or other systems. The position requires monitoring, evaluating and troubleshooting components and subcomponents of networked and other systems for reliability, performance, security and compliance. Necessary fixes must be implemented to ensure continuous operation. The role also includes participating in installing, adjusting and enhancing systems for availability, latency, scalability and efficiency, building tools and scripts, and identifying and determining likely reasons for problematic causes. Accurate documentation and communication are essential to effectively facilitate the elimination of problems and create efficient fixes. The position impacts discrete components and processes of the work of the unit, team, or projects, and involves interaction with internal and external peers and/or managers to exchange semi-complex information related to assigned activities. Participation in software and/or system performance analysis and tuning, service capacity planning, and demand forecasting is also required. Feedback regarding standards and methods for operating services and systems is expected, along with coordination to accomplish activities. A working knowledge of systems administration is necessary, and proficiency in several areas of the professional function is required.
