The SharePoint Administrator position is part of the Network Services department of the Information Technology Systems organization, within the SharePoint Business Process Automation Team. This position is responsible for the design, deployment, administration, maintenance, support, and optimization of the on‑premises SharePoint and K2 farm topologies, SharePoint Online, K2 and Nintex Automation Cloud, and other on-premises and cloud systems supporting collaboration and custom business process automation. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise with SharePoint farm administration, K2 and Nintex architecture administration, and a strong track record supporting integrated architecture that facilitates workflow-enabled business solutions at scale. Responsibilities: Architect, build, deploy, configure, and administer on‑premises SharePoint farms that are integrated with K2 and Nintex, in alignment with enterprise standards and best practices. Own the full SharePoint farm infrastructure lifecycle, including capacity planning, patching, upgrades, service configuration, migration, and retirement. Serve as the subject matter expert for SharePoint farm architecture, topology, service applications, authentication models, and security. Install, configure, maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot SharePoint and dependent technologies, including IIS, SQL Server, Windows Server, and Active Directory integration. Install, configure, maintain, optimize, and troubleshoot the underlying architecture that supports custom business process automation solutions built in K2 on-premises, K2 Cloud, and Nintex Automation Cloud, whether integrated with SharePoint or operating independently, including Muhimbi PDF Converter, Power BI / SSRS reporting servers, and Office Online Server. Manage SharePoint farm health, availability, performance, and scalability through proactive monitoring, optimization, and tuning. Plan, test, and execute SharePoint updates, cumulative updates, service packs, and version upgrades with minimal user impact. Design and maintain high availability, disaster recovery, and backup/restore strategies for SharePoint environments. Support SharePoint governance policies related to site provisioning, storage management, security boundaries, and lifecycle management. Partner with database, server, storage, cybersecurity and network teams to ensure SharePoint infrastructure is properly supported, secure, and optimized. Troubleshoot complex SharePoint, K2, and Nintex infrastructure issues, including: farm outages, integration problems, service failures, authentication issues, and performance degradation. Administer and support SharePoint Online environments, including site collections, permissions, information architecture, governance controls, integrations with business process automation platforms, and ongoing operational support within Microsoft 365 Maintain technical documentation related to SharePoint architecture, configurations, standards, and operational procedures. Serve as a liaison to Microsoft and SharePoint-related vendors for infrastructure support and escalation. Collaborate with workflow developers and platform teams to ensure scalable and supportable workflow solutions and farm configurations. Support SharePoint migrations, consolidations, and environment re-architecture efforts using approved tools and methodologies. Participate in infrastructure-related projects and initiatives involving SharePoint and associated platforms. In addition to regularly scheduled hours and responsibilities, IT staff and management are frequently required to assist on special projects and emergencies. This includes, but is not limited to: travel, regularly scheduled evening or early morning maintenance and emergency response at any time (24x7x365). These additional responsibilities are an essential function of the job and are required to ensure continuous operations and minimize disruption to end-users. As a member of the PCA SharePoint Team, the SharePoint Administrator is responsible for excellent communication, support, and collaboration with fellow teammates, providing regular project progress updates, addressing trouble tickets promptly, outstanding customer service, and raising the level of SharePoint knowledge among PCA users. As a member of the Network Service Department, the SharePoint Administrator is responsible for knowing and following policies and procedures of the company, for sharing information that would benefit members of the team, and for finding ways to improve the delivery of service to our customers.
