About The Position

The IT Endpoint Technician/Senior IT Endpoint Technician will work to address employees' IT needs and keep computer systems operational. This position will be hired as an IT Endpoint Technician or Senior IT Endpoint Technician depending on the qualifications of the selected candidates. The Texas Institute for Electronics (TIE) is a University of Texas at Austin-supported semiconductor consortium of state and local government, preeminent defense electronics and semiconductor companies, national labs and nationally recognized academic institutions. Our mission is to develop and execute a state-of-the-art 3D Heterogenous Integration manufacturing technology roadmap, and to provide critical pilot manufacturing capabilities to address national security needs and catalyze domestic economic growth. Requirements

  • Knowledge of managing users, groups, and systems in Active Directory.
  • Experience with configuration and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Understanding of network devices and technologies.
  • Ability to wear a bunny suit and work in a cleanroom.
  • An associate's degree or high school diploma with a strong background in technical systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Significant Equivalent Experience may be substituted for certifications and education.

Nice To Haves

  • CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365 Certified, or other relevant industry certifications.
  • 2 years' experience in the semiconductor industry.
  • Unix or Linux OS experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to users for support on workstations for issues related to hardware, software, and networking.
  • Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues with desktop and mobile devices, network equipment, and peripherals.
  • Provision, modify, and maintain users and groups in Active Directory and other various systems.
  • Address problems with computer systems used by manufacturing tools.
  • The endpoint technician will be given further projects, activities, duties or other responsibilities according to the growth of the TIE organization and its mission.
