Selective Insurance Company of America is excited to announce an opportunity for motivated, self-directed individuals to join our Information Technology Department's early career leadership development program. This program is designed for early career professionals looking to jumpstart their journey towards becoming technology experts or leaders. Over the course of three years, participants will engage in a full-time rotation program that includes three one-year rotations across various roles within Selective IT. This structure allows participants to explore different technical, business, and professional disciplines while working hands-on to deliver important projects. Throughout the program, participants will have the chance to develop their technical, business, and leadership skills, supported by a network of mentors and technology leaders. The rotations may include opportunities in application development, security, networking, infrastructure, cloud, and data analysis roles. Participants will be encouraged to take ownership of their learning and development, demonstrating a continuous improvement mindset and actively seeking out new technologies and processes to adopt. Candidates should be driven to learn and grow their competencies, with a strong desire to become leaders or technology experts. The ability to analyze facts, draw sound conclusions, and communicate effectively with others will be critical for success. Active listening skills are also essential to appreciate diverse perspectives, as Selective values diversity and inclusion as key components of its success. Participants will also engage in group activities, which may include light travel to other offices, further enhancing their professional experience.
