  • Professionally manages relationships with external vendors and oversees the purchasing and bidding processes for all computer systems, communication systems, and hardware acquisitions.
  • Coordinates the daily operational activities of the IT department, providing leadership and support for technology solutions that enhance mission-critical gaming and business operations.
  • Plans, recommends, implements, and assists in the deployment of computer, telephone, and gaming hardware/software systems, platforms, and programs.
  • Maintains access codes, permissions, and security controls to safeguard computer systems, databases, and sensitive information.
  • Ensures the reliable backup, recovery, and integrity of all data across internal and external systems and data centers.
  • Oversees proper storage, maintenance, and integrity of all databases and hardware associated with tribal operations, casino systems, and gaming operations.
  • Directs ongoing upgrades of IT staff skills, systems, equipment, and procedures to remain aligned with technological advancements, operational needs, and industry standards.
  • Maintains software license agreements for all applications and ensures compliance with vendor terms, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
  • Manages the annual IT budget and establishes appropriate controls to ensure expenditures remain within approved limits.
  • Maintains effective communication and collaboration with all department heads to ensure technology needs are met, challenges are addressed, and future solutions and innovations are properly planned.
  • Coordinates and enforces IT-related procedures and controls that govern the interaction between gaming operations and supporting departments, including finance.
  • Manages the computerized video monitoring system, including access management, system menu permissions, video machine profile parameters, and departmental capabilities to access, modify, create, or delete information.
  • Provides guidance in the development and maintenance of IT policies and procedures, including architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards, and procurement, ensuring adherence to all regulatory controls.
  • Oversees administrative functions related to staffing, scheduling, and budgeting to maintain a productive, cost-effective IT department.
  • Is a property leader that engages all levels of the team consistently, professionally and fairly.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a gaming, casino (Class II and/or Class III), or highly regulated environment.
  • Extensive experience managing enterprise-level systems, including casino management systems (CMS), slot systems, loyalty programs, POS/PMS systems, and surveillance technologies.
  • Experience with Oasis Loyalty, Everi, Fortunet, Bravo, CCT, Oracle Hospitality: Opera, Simphony.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing IT infrastructure, network operations, cybersecurity programs, and data center management.
  • Proven track record managing IT budgets, vendor relationships, and large-scale technology projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of network architecture, servers, virtualization, cloud technologies, database administration, and system integration.
  • Solid grasp of cybersecurity practices—including risk assessment, intrusion detection, incident response, and regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, redundancy and business continuity best practices.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, mentor, and supervise a multi-disciplinary IT team.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and business partner skills, including planning, resource allocation, communication, milestones and execution of complex technology initiatives.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and ensure system uptime in a 24/7 casino environment.
  • Highest level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive data and system access.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License through the appropriate regulatory agency.
  • Experience working with or within tribal gaming operations is strongly preferred (Class II and/or Class III)).
