About The Position

The IT Development and Engineering Senior Manager participates with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives within cloud development to ensure high-quality performance and user experience. They lead development team(s) to develop new methods and solve complex matters to shorten the system's delivery lifecycle and provide a continuous delivery platform.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in the Information Technology (IT) field, or at least 11 years of experience in IT in lieu of a degree.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT.
  • 4+ years of experience managing direct reports.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with React and microservices.
  • Knowledgeable in liquid batch manufacturing.
  • Experience with agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Participates with senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives.
  • Leads development team(s) to develop new methods and solve complex matters.
  • Directs operational units and activities of a functional area or multiple integrated departments through lower management.
  • Responsible for supporting the talent strategy through hiring, onboarding, learning & development, performance, succession planning, engagement, recognition, and inclusion, diversity, and equity practices.
  • Fosters a work environment that encourages employees to act with integrity and respect.
  • Sets employee objectives and expectations, monitors and evaluates performance, provides meaningful feedback, and mentorship.
  • Supports employee career development.
  • Contributes to the development of strategies for a function or multiple departments.
  • Makes final decisions on implementation and ensures operational effectiveness.
  • Cascades functional strategy and contributes to the development of organizational policies.
  • Accountable for actions that impact function or multiple department budgets.
  • Works on complex issues where problems are not clearly defined.
  • Translates business segment strategy into functional plans and guides execution.
  • Participates in corporate development of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people.
  • Ensures budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
  • Interacts with senior management, executives, and/or major customers, negotiating matters of significance to the organization.
  • Reconciles multiple stakeholder views to drive business results.
