About The Position

The IT Desktop Support Technician position at Kernodle Clinic is a full-time role focused on providing technical support to end-users within a multi-specialty clinic environment. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions, performing installations, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and support. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work collaboratively with other IT staff and end-users.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience in related areas.
  • Strong technical skills in hardware and software support, including PC operating systems and commercial software.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with end-users and provide training and support.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with IT ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
  • Knowledge of LAN and voice support systems.
  • Familiarity with security policies and appropriate use of IT assets.

Responsibilities

  • Provide field technical support to customers, identifying and correcting equipment malfunctions.
  • Perform on-site installation check-out and emergency repairs for technically complex equipment.
  • Instruct other technicians in problem diagnosis, troubleshooting techniques, and repair procedures.
  • Coordinate training for customer personnel on IT systems and equipment.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through periodic calls and visits, providing information and technical support on new products and services.
  • Support Help Desk personnel in second-level problem resolution for end-user issues and requests.
  • Track and log all service tickets through the IT ServiceNow tracking system.
  • Utilize approved procedures to ensure hardware and software are deployed and supported according to company standards.
  • Provide training, advice, and support to end-users to promote effective use of information technology and awareness of policies.
  • Maintain advanced technical skills with supported hardware and software, including PCs, printers, peripherals, and communications equipment.
