We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users, ensuring that all computer systems and networks operate efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of computer hardware, networking, and technical support processes, along with the ability to analyze and resolve issues promptly.

  • Provide technical support for hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems with operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.
  • Manage user accounts in Active Directory, including creating, modifying, and deleting accounts as necessary.
  • Analyze network configurations and troubleshoot TCP/IP issues to ensure seamless connectivity.
  • Assist in the deployment of new hardware and software installations while ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
  • Maintain documentation of support requests, resolutions, and system configurations for future reference.
  • Collaborate with other IT staff to implement Group Policy Objects (GPO) for enhanced security and management of user environments.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in desktop support and computer management.
  • Proven experience in a desktop support or technical support role is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficient understanding of Windows operating systems and common applications.
  • Experience with computer networking concepts including TCP/IP protocols.
  • Ability to analyze issues effectively and provide clear solutions to end-users.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
