About The Position

This Sr. Manger will provide strategic and operational leadership for a team of Project Managers responsible for delivering cross functional technology initiatives. This role partners with business area CIO organizations to understand the prioritized new capability requests and production incidents, aligns those priorities with the Integrated Management System (IMS) plans, and ensures that development teams are properly staffed and funded to meet critical production timelines. The incumbent drives resource planning, funding advocacy, and execution excellence across the enterprise 1LMX application and process portfolios.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT project/program management
  • At least 3+ years leading teams of Project Managers in a large, matrixed enterprise
  • Proven track record delivering cross‑functional technology initiatives (software development, infrastructure, cloud migration, enterprise applications)
  • Direct experience partnering with CIO/IT leadership and business stakeholders to translate capability requests into actionable road‑maps
  • Demonstrated success in resource planning, budgeting, and funding advocacy for multi‑year technology portfolios
  • Experience managing production incidents and change‑control processes within an Integrated Management System (IMS) or similar governance framework
  • Deep understanding of enterprise application lifecycle management (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, support)
  • Strong grasp of IT governance, risk, and compliance as it relates to production systems
  • Ability to interpret and communicate technical architectures and data flow concepts to non‑technical leaders
  • Exceptional strategic thinking with the ability to align technology initiatives to business objectives
  • Strong influence and negotiation skills to secure funding and resources across functional boundaries
  • Demonstrated coaching and mentorship of project managers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and execution excellence
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills for senior executive audiences
  • Ability to manage conflict, prioritize competing demands, and drive decisions in fast‑paced environments
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain any required security clearance for the organization (if applicable)
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (e.g., to site locations, stakeholder meetings)

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Agile, SAFe, and Waterfall delivery methodologies; ability to select and blend approaches as appropriate
  • Proficiency with project‑portfolio tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Project Online, Azure DevOps, Jira, Smartsheet) and resource‑management systems
  • Ability to interpret and communicate technical architectures and data flow concepts to non‑technical leaders
