About The Position

We're seeking an energetic and employee-focused IT Department Manager to lead our technology support operations and drive innovation across our organization. Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in Information Technology
  • 1-2 years of experience managing distributed teams or multi office environments
  • Experience working with or supporting international/distributed teams
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or similar)
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals and cybersecurity principles
  • Strong customer service orientation with proven ability to balance technical and user needs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cloud-based collaboration tools (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, etc.)
  • Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (ITIL, etc.)
  • Project management experience or certification
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Self-starter mentality with a bias toward action and continuous improvement
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to build processes from the ground up

Responsibilities

  • Manage and mentor the IT support team, fostering a culture of responsiveness and service excellence
  • Ensure high levels of employee satisfaction through proactive support and clear communication
  • Develop and track key performance metrics focused on user experience and resolution times
  • Build strong relationships across departments to understand and anticipate technology needs
  • Collaborate with international team members across different time zones to deliver seamless support
  • Implement and maintain networking solutions and cybersecurity best practices
  • Monitor system health and coordinate with service providers
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate current IT workflows
  • Evaluate and implement new tools and technologies that enhance productivity
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives that improve the employee experience
  • Stay current with emerging IT trends and recommend strategic improvements
  • Design and deliver user training programs for new tools, systems, and security protocols
  • Create documentation and self-service resources to empower employees
  • Conduct onboarding sessions for new hires on IT systems and policies
  • Promote cybersecurity awareness across the organization
