About The Position

Overall Job Function: Support and maintain data, reports and dashboards in an understandable and accurate manner using Tableau; capture data electronically using Microsoft Power Apps. Ability to turn data into information, information into insight. Essential Job Functions: Highly analytical and tech savvy. Ability to identify, understand, and solve problems independently. Self-starter who is willing to look for work to be done. Build and maintain data warehouses, dashboards, and reports in Tableau. Build and maintain tools to capture and organize data via Microsoft Power Apps or other tools. Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Assist the Chief Data Analyst with report and dashboard development. Knowledge of and experience with reporting packages and databases. Some examples are but not limited to IBM DB/2, Microsoft SQL server, Fortra’s SEQUEL, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Excel. Ability and willingness to interact with other non-technical users. Adept at presenting findings in a professional and understandable way. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in data sets; interpret data, analyze results and provide ongoing reports. Processing confidential data and information according to guidelines. Secondary Responsibilities: Answer phone calls in a courteous and professional manner. Support end users on basic functions of company software. Assist the IT department in management, inventory, and ordering of IT assets and supplies. Consistently positive and can-do attitude. Strong interpersonal skills Knowledgeable on company software and software support Ability to handle stressful situations professionally. Qualifications: College degree in Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics, or Work experience as a data analyst or related field. Experience with Tableau and Microsoft PowerApps is preferred but will train the right candidate. Work Requirements: This position is based in a fast-paced office setting.  Equipment utilized will be a computer, phone, fax, copy machine and other standard office equipment.  Typical office hours are Monday to Friday 8 to 5.  Occasional hours between 7 am and 8 pm. Position will travel between all FCS locations and will occasionally work outside exposed to elements, work from heights, work around loud noise, be exposed to grain dust and agricultural equipment. While performing job functions the employee will be required to talk and hear most of the time.  The employee will spend frequent intervals moving and sitting, while also needing to reach, bend, twist, crawl, crouch, stoop or kneel.   The employee will need to be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and 15 pounds frequently and maneuver on and off mobile equipment.  The physicality of this job is low.     FCS job descriptions are a representation of a job requirements knowledge, skills, and abilities.  Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
