About The Position

We are seeking a motivated IT Data Engineer Intern to assist in building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and systems that support organizational analytics and operational processes. This internship offers hands-on experience in data engineering, cloud infrastructure, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) development while working closely with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, eager to learn, and passionate about working with data to improve systems and workflows. Requirements

• Education: Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Basic understanding of database management systems and SQL
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related data service
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with an understanding of data structures and basic algorithms.
• Communication Skills: Ability to document technical processes and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Eagerness to Learn: Passion for data engineering, cloud technologies, and continuous learning.

Nice To Haves

• Power BI, Tableau Desktop Specialist, or similar certifications (preferred but not required).
• Certifications in Python, SQL, or other data analysis tools (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Data Pipeline Development: Assist in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines to integrate data from multiple sources into centralized systems or data warehouses.
• Data Preparation & Transformation: Support efforts to clean, transform, and structure data to enable efficient analysis, reporting, and downstream consumption.
• ETL Processes: Participate in the development, optimization, and monitoring of ETL workflows to ensure timely, accurate, and reliable data movement.
• Cloud Data Integration: Work with cloud-based platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to implement data solutions and optimize storage, performance, and processing.
• System Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor data pipelines and systems for performance and reliability and assist in identifying and resolving issues.
• Reporting & Analytics Support: Assist with data availability and preparation for dashboards, reports, and analytical use cases.
• Predictive Analytics: Support the development of predictive models and forecasts based on historical data to inform decision-making.
• Collaboration: Partner with data analysts, data scientists, business, finance, and IT operations teams to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for data engineering processes, workflows, and best practices.
