About The Position

The IT Data Analyst position within the Department of Homeland Security's Office of the Chief Readiness Support Officer focuses on data analysis and integration to support mission operations. The role emphasizes data-driven decision-making, utilizing advanced analytics, machine learning, and data visualization to provide insights and solutions for the Department's logistics and mission support functions.

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal government, performing duties such as using performance measurements and data analysis to identify enterprise alternatives.
• Experience in analyzing the intrinsic value of available data and collaborating on data sharing and integration for mission support functions.
• Documenting systems-based methods and procedures to measure the reliability, accuracy, fidelity, and validity of data.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing programming skills, statistics, geospatial analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, data visualization, and critical thinking skills.
• Applying statistical techniques and leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence to analyze data and identify patterns and trends.
• Providing expert guidance on data-driven strategies and methodologies.
• Leading the development of analytical products and services to foster a culture of data and evidence-based decision making.
• Collaborating with data stakeholders across various levels, including leadership within DHS and other federal agencies, to ensure the analytical utility of data.
• Creating and presenting clear and impactful visualizations of data insights to diverse audiences.
