The role requires designing, setting up, and configuring complex networking systems that support both open and secured access, as well as voice and video applications. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware and software applications, telephones, and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services. Additionally, the position involves configuring and setting up communications security equipment (COMSEC) to secure data communications, drafting IT standard operating procedures, participating in the IT capital planning process, and monitoring network performance while analyzing diagnostics and traffic patterns to direct software fixes and upgrades.
