Amentum is seeking an IT/Cyber Operations Support Specialist who performs a variety of multi-level administrative tasks to support the IT department. This role is essential in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, supporting IT leadership, and maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.

  • Provide administrative support to the IT Manager and Assistant Manager.
  • Review and distribute incoming correspondence; draft responses for review and signature.
  • Assist in data collection and research for monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports.
  • Prepare professional spreadsheets, reports, and presentations using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Develop and maintain an organized filing system in compliance with record retention policies.
  • Track and validate Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF) certifications and status.
  • Assist in generating Purchase Requests (PRs), Information Technology Procurement Requests (ITPRs), and other purchasing documentation.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of internal documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Department Internal Procedures (DIPs).
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external customers to support planning, prioritization, and issue resolution.
  • Provide program support by managing documentation, schedules, briefings, reports, and correspondence.
  • Maintain master files and schedules related to program history and status throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Review and assess technical and non-technical reports; conduct research and present findings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Bachelor’s degree - Business related discipline preferred.
  • Years of directly related work experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • DoD Approved 8570 IAT Level I Baseline Certification within 6 months of start date.
  • Minimum of 5 years of general office experience.
  • IT background or familiarity is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to type 50–60 words per minute and manage multiple tasks during peak periods.
  • Experience with standard office equipment and administrative procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance.
