About The Position

As an IT Change and Configuration Manager supporting a military organization, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity, security, and operational readiness of mission-critical IT systems. This position oversees the lifecycle of IT assets and changes within a highly regulated and security-conscious environment, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards and supporting the warfighter through reliable, resilient technology infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science or equivalent years of experience.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • ITSM experience including CMDB and Change Management.
  • Must possess active Top Secret clearance with SCI.

Nice To Haves

  • Active ITIL v4 certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supports all required change and configuration boards and working groups.
  • Develops change documentation and maintains forward schedule of changes.
  • Provides change management services and participates in change management processes to ensure that standardized methods and procedures are used for efficient and prompt handling of changes.
  • Manages the introduction and implementation of changes affecting all services and in any of the management processes, tools, and methodologies designed and utilized to support service components.
  • Regularly conduct inventory assessments to ensure audit compliance and accurate customer reporting and contractual documents.
  • Establish and manage a comprehensive configuration management system while performing complex configuration management initiatives.
  • Provides configuration management support to assigned projects.
  • Designs and establishes configuration management documentation.
  • Integrates software, develops external interfaces, and maintains technical documentation.
  • Ensures the integrity of builds and artifacts to support successful production releases.
  • Drives technology release strategy, execution, and improvements across development life cycle.
  • Designs a pipeline that minimizes manual involvement and leads to continuous improvements.
  • Collaborates with other departments to implement best practices for release tools and process and improve productivity.
  • Manages end-to-end availability, security, and performance of mission-critical release practices and environments.
  • May act as a liaison between Program Management and other functional groups to resolve issues regarding configuration analysis documentation.
